ABOUT US

Meet Julie Bellini

Hi!  My name is Julie Bellini. I am a Registered Kinesiologist from the University of Waterloo’s Kinesiology program. My clinical training and experiential knowledge is specialized in biomechanics of injury, recovery, and function to the back, hip, knee and shoulder.  As well as chronic disease prevention and management with exercise.  It is easier to refer to me as a movement and exercise therapist.  I have been in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO) and the Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA).

My clinical work continued after university in a private well-respected clinic for over 20 years. Following many courses and certifications, my extensive experience and expertise is in movement patterns, joint care, functional exercise rehab, chronic disease management, and office ergonomics. I’ve taken great pride working with various athletes, workers and seniors for prevention, recovery and performance using up to date evidenced medical exercise and education to move better, feel better, and live better. I have had the opportunity and continue to present dynamic talks and workshops to other industries. I love to share my enthusiasm and dedication while mentoring kinesiology students.  I credit much of my knowledge and passion to Dr Stuart McGill (an internationally recognized Waterloo Professor in biomechanics) and Shirley Sahrmann (Professor Emerita at Washington University Physical Therapy program). In 2007, I began teaching community exercise classes for Core Fitness and Function, and Fit Hips and Knees.

In 2012, Human Performance Solutions mobile (HPSmobile) was launched to bring exercise and education for excellent joint care, fitness and longevity to those over 40 years of age via community, in-home or virtually.  My passion is helping people move better by removing barriers to their movement, to feel stronger and more able so to live a happy and healthier lifestyle.  Our dynamic programs are designed based on your needs using the most appropriate exercise for your goals.

Every session and program is guided by up to date evidence and practice-based information and exercise for physical and mental health and wellness.  With consistency, pain can be reduced and may resolve long-term, with a very specific, appropriate exercise plan based on your goals and needs for better movement quality.
